You will learn about operational practice as well as the strategic development of the UK, European and international travel and tourism industries.**\n\n**About the course**\n\nThis Level 5 HND top-up course is intended for those applicants who have already obtained (or expect to achieve) a full Level 4 in this subject. (such as a Higher National Certificate, Certificate of Higher Education - CertHE - or the first year of a Foundation Degree or full Bachelor's degree). Whether you are comparatively new to travel and tourism or have relevant previous experience and want to widen your horizons, this highly-regarded qualification could enhance your future career prospects.\n\n**HND modules include:**\n\n-Research Project \n-Strategic Planning for Air Transport\n-Tourist Resort Management\n-Special Interest Tourism\n-Managing and Running a Small Business\n-Cruise Management\n-Tourism Consumer Behaviour and Insights \n\n**Assessment**\n\nAssignments (including timed assessments – some under examination conditions), individual and group presentations, discussions, academic posters, displays, leaflets, recorded interviews/role plays, reflective journals and work-based projects.\n\n**New City Hub campus**\n\nThe Travel and Tourism department is based at the college's new £58 million City Hub campus, near Nottingham train station. The campus features state of the art teaching and learning facilities, science laboratories, aviation training cabin, with a restaurant, cafe and performing arts venue.\n\n**Bursaries**\n\nWe want our courses to be accessible to students from any background, so we’ve put together a cash support package in the form of non-repayable bursaries to provide financial help where it’s really needed.
