"summary": "This course is for individuals wishing to develop higher-level professional skills relevant to the electrical and electronic engineering sectors.\n\nThe programme team uses a combination of traditional classroom teaching, open learning and research-based experiential learning, laboratory experiments, demonstrations and practical sessions, using industry standard IT applications and group activities. \n\nThe course comprises core and specialist units, which are all mandatory. These units are:\n\n5006: Further Mathematics\n5009: Further PLCs\n5011: Industrial Power, Electronics and Storage\n5013: Embedded Systems\n5010: Further Electrical Machines and Drives\n5019: Further Electrical, Electronic and Digital Principles\n5020: Utilisation of Electrical Power\n5002: Professional Engineering Management\n\nThis course is taught one day a week, normally over 30 weeks per academic year.
