Get the specialist, practical skills you need to aid in the treatment and recovery of injuries.\n\n**Skills:**\nEndorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sports and Physical Activity and The Society of Sports Therapists, you’ll gain knowledge, skills and ability to:\n- Assess individuals for a range of conditions and injuries.\n\n\n- Evaluate various on field scenarios and administer appropriate management (including basic life support) and return to activity decisions for acute trauma. \n\n\n- Aid in return to sport and enhance overall performance.\n\n\n- Devise sport-specific programmes to prepare athletes for sport participation and implement protocols to reduce the likelihood of injury.\n\n\n- Refer to other healthcare professionals where appropriate.\n\n\n**Career opportunities:**\nOur graduates go on to work in different specialisms within sports sciences/allied health, such as:\n- Sports Therapist working in a range of settings including sports environments of different levels, or private and public clinical contexts.\n\n\n- Postgraduate study in fields such as ‘Physiotherapy’ and ‘Strength and Conditioning’.\n\n\n- Academia, whether this be from a research point-of-view or progressing into a lecturing role.
