You'll learn to organise and manage project finances on a RICS-accredited quantity surveying course.**\n\nQuantity surveyors are the cost managers of the construction industry. While studying this Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree, you'll learn how quantity surveyors organise, control and manage the costing of projects. As a graduate, you'll be eligible for full membership of RICS, dependent upon an acceptable period of approved professional practice and a successful final assessment of professional competence by RICS.\n\n**Placement year**\nOur placement route includes a one year industry placement. This enables you to take advantage of the strong links we have with local authorities, commercial organisations, and private quantity surveying practices - all of whom provide placement opportunities for our students.\n\nPrevious students have completed their placements in Boston and San Francisco. Our tutors have substantial and diverse experience, having worked in the built environment as professional contractors and quantity surveyors.\n\n**Specialist facilities**\nWe have industry standard facilities and software applications, including QS Pro. We're constantly developing our Building Modelling Information capabilities to keep pace with the latest requirements from RICS, government, and industry.
