If you choose this option you'll study with our partner, ARU College, on our Cambridge campus in Year 1. In Years 2-4 you'll study in Chelmsford or ARU Peterborough.\n\nPart-time students can study over five years.\n\nWhat qualifications do you need to be a quantity surveyor?\nTo work as a quantity surveyor, you will usually need a degree in quantity surveying accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Our degree in Chelmsford is accredited by RICS.\n\nAlternatively it's possible to start working in the industry as a technical surveyor (also known as a surveying technician), and study for an accredited degree part-time while working.\n\nWhat is a quantity surveyor salary?\nSalaries start at around £25,000-£35,000 for newly trained chartered surveyors, with management roles typically attracting salaries in the range of £50,000-£80,000.",
