We rely on public and emergency services, not only for major disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes, but also more local concerns, such as anti-social behaviour in our community. This course will give you a strong practical and academic grounding in the organisation, management and operation of these services. Course Modules include: Year 1: Social Science; Public Affairs; Public Sector Organisation; Planning and Operations; Community Study 1. Work and study placements will further develop your skills and allow you to put theory to practice.
