"entryRequirements": "Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK Masters (Merit).\n\nWe consider applications from students who have completed or are in the process of completing a master’s programme relevant to their intended PhD specialisation. We look for indications that they have the calibre and training to undertake a research focussed degree.\n\nThe master's degree must be from a university or department with a strong international research reputation. Applicants are expected to provide evidence, through transcripts and reference letters, that they are among the top five per cent of master's students in their year, or among the top ten per cent of students if their master’s degree is from Cambridge University or a similarly selective university (see departmental advice if you are taking the Cambridge MPhil in Economic Research).\n\nApplicants are normally required to have a first-class honours degree at the undergraduate level.\n\nApplicants with an MBA, MFin or other professional practice master's are required to have a further master's degree.\n\nInterested applicants with a first-class honours degree at undergraduate level who do not satisfy the above criteria regarding a master’s degree are encouraged to enquire about admission to the MPhil in Strategy, Marketing and Operations, the MPhil in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation or the MPhil in Finance.",

"summary": "The MRes in Management Studies is offered by Cambridge Judge Business School as a full-time period of study and research, during which students with experience at master's level will receive training in research methods and the foundations of their chosen discipline. The goal of the MRes programme is to lay the foundations that will enable students to contribute to the academic debate in their discipline through publications in leading journals, which they will develop during their PhD.\n**Learning Outcomes**\n\nBy the end of the programme, students will have:\n\n\n- Gained knowledge of research methods used in management research.\n\n\n- Developed strong awareness of the current academic debates in their chosen discipline, and knowledge of the underlying theories of management.\n\n\n- Gained practical knowledge of management research through close supervision of their dissertation project\n\n\n- Developed strong methodological expertise across a spectrum of research areas and the ability to apply these methodologies as part of the dissertation research project.\n\n\n- Developed a strong awareness of the imperative of societal impact with management research, through a dissertation.\n\n\n- Gained auxiliary professional skills, e.g. communication skills, presentation skills, writing skills, research project management skills, literature review skills.\n",
