Researching Clinical Education is assessed by the production of a research proposal and protocol. You will be required to complete each module and associated coursework successfully before proceeding to the next module. Your results in all modules count towards the final qualification.",
"entryRequirements": "A bachelor (hons) degree in a health-related subject with at least a 2:2. Entry on the appropriate professional register\n\nIt is a course requirement that you be working in a clinical or educational setting with the opportunity to engage in some form of teaching, training, or mentoring.\n\nAccreditation of prior learning to allow entry at a later stage in the course will be considered on a case by case basis, dependent on the qualifications held and evidence provided. \n\nInternational students\nDue to the nature of blended teaching in the first year of the programme (PG Cert level), the first year is not available to study by applicants who are outside the UK. Throughout your studies, you’ll evaluate a range of educational theories and strategies in reference to teaching, learning and assessment in the clinical context and apply these ideas to the development of your own teaching practice.\n\nThere is direct observation of your teaching in practice and regular opportunities for peer reviewing of your teaching practice (micro-teaching). "summary": "The MEd Clinical Education Programme is an interprofessional programme designed to transform healthcare professionals into exceptional education practitioners. This course offers a responsive, work related, and academically rigorous pathway for all healthcare practitioners involved in teaching and learning. Whether you are based in a clinical setting or a higher education institution, this programme will enhance your understanding of cutting–edge education and assessment pedagogies.\n\nYou will develop various skills and deepen your understanding of core clinical education concepts while learning from expert academics and clinicians from the Faculty of Medicine and Health, and seasoned practitioners from NHS Trusts.\n\nIn the first year of the programme, you can choose between campus-based or online delivery, while the second and third years are delivered entirely online. Starting in the 2024/25 academic year, the online PgCert programme will also be open to international applicants.
