In summary, our Physiology course prepares graduates to work effectively as clinical exercise physiologists in healthcare.\n\nTechnical Skills for Clinical Exercise Physiology (Core Modules)\n\nThis module develops the technical skills required to become a competent and effective clinical exercise physiologist.\n\nA blend of applied theory and practical workshops will equip you with the knowledge and skills of relevant screening techniques and risk stratification processes, as well as the ability to measure and assess health status and functional capacity for patients.\n\nExercise Prescription in Clinical Populations (Core Modules)\n\nYou will gain the knowledge and skills to design, implement and deliver evidence-based exercise interventions for patients with non-communicable diseases. You will also gain experience of selecting, administering and interpreting appropriate exercise tests to inform data driven exercise prescription.\n\nAdvanced Clinical Exercise Physiology (Core Modules)\n\nThis module will further develop knowledge on the pathophysiological processes of non-communicable diseases and their responses to both acute and chronic exercise. You will also develop knowledge of how advancements in assessment tools and research illuminate understanding of exercise physiology.\n\nPathophysiology and Behaviour Change (Core Modules)\n\nThe module will develop your knowledge of the interdisciplinary nature of working as a clinical exercise physiologist and its impact on health. You will learn how behavioural, psychosocial, and biomedical science techniques can be integrated to enhance patient outcomes relevant to non-communicable diseases.\n\nClinical Placement (Core Modules)\n\nThis module provides you with the experience and knowledge required to work as an effective clinical exercise physiologist.
