        "entryRequirements": "Home:\nUndergraduate degree\n2.1 in a relevant degree*\nAdditional information\nThe MSc programme in clinical exercise rehabilitation is designed to welcome individuals from diverse academic backgrounds who share a keen interest in the field and equip them with the knowledge, skills and competencies to safely and effectively work with patients after traumatic injury and provide innovative interventions for a range of health conditions including injuries sustained in high-pressure environments. The following are the detailed admission requirements:\n\nA 2:1 in a relevant science or health-related subject or appropriate professional experience. Appropriate subject areas include Healthcare, sport rehabilitation, sports and / or exercise science, physical activity & health, strength & conditioning or other relevant biological / biomedical science. Those with a background in engineering will also be considered.\n\nAppropriate professional experience: healthcare, exercise prescription or scientific research.\n\nA Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced criminal records check is required upon registration to the course.\n\nPersonal Statement: A statement outlining the applicant's interest in clinical exercise rehabilitation, how their undergraduate knowledge and skills, any additional experience and hobbies support their application for the course, career goals, and how the programme aligns with their professional aspirations.\n\nReferences: Two academic or professional references supporting the applicant's suitability for the programme.\n\nHealthcare\nThis includes, but is not limited to, degrees in physiotherapy, nursing, or medicine (MBBS or equivalent).\n\nSport rehabilitation; sport and / or exercise science; strength and conditioning\nApplicants with a degree in Sport Rehabilitation, Sports and / or Exercise Science or Strength and Conditioning are suitable for this programme. These fields provide a solid foundation in understanding the physiological aspects of rehabilitation the principles of exercise prescription.\n\nPhysical Activity: Applicants with a degree in physical activity & ealth are suitable for this programme as this field provides a solid understanding of anatomy & physiology and the foundations of exercise science.\n\nEngineering: Applicants with a background in engineering are encouraged to apply, particularly those with a degree in biomedical engineering. This allows for the integration of engineering principles with rehabilitation techniques to develop innovative solutions.\n\nBiological Science: This includes degrees in biological sciences (such as biology, biochemistry, or physiology), and nutrition and dietetics. These backgrounds contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles underpinning clinical exercise rehabilitation.\n\nWork experience\nWhile not mandatory, relevant work experience in healthcare, strength & conditioning, exercise prescription or scientific research can strengthen the application.\n\nInternational:\nUndergraduate degree\n2.1 in a relevant degree such as Sport Rehabilitation, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Sports Therapy, Sport and Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, Physiotherapy, or substantial relevant professional experience in exercise prescription in addition to a minimum of a 2:2 in a previous degree.*\nInternational and EU equivalents\nWe accept a wide range of qualifications from all over the world.\n\nFor information on entry requirements from your country, see our country pages.\nIELTS\nIELTS Requirements: 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element)\nEnglish language requirements\nAs well as IELTS (listed above), we also accept other English language qualifications.     "summary": "Our new programme will develop your skills and expertise, and provide you with the fundamental knowledge, skills and competencies to safely and effectively work with patients after traumatic injury and provide innovative interventions for a range of health conditions including injuries sustained in high-pressure environments.\n\nWe will expand on your existing knowledge using evidence-based practice to repair and build a healthy body and mind.\n\nYou will develop your:\n\nclinical judgement skills\nrehabilitation techniques\nunderstanding of pre-habilitation and rehabilitation of health conditions\nunderstanding of innovative technology solutions for rehabilitation\nresearch methods\nintervention and assessment skills for a wide variety of health conditions\nThis programme offers a unique progression route for students from a variety of backgrounds within the field of exercise rehabilitation to study.\n\nResearch\nYou'll conduct research at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), a new 70 bed NHS rehabilitation facility that's currently being built near the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Stamford Hall. You will also be taught at University of Nottingham, which is next to the Queens Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham, one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK.\n\nSuitability\nThis degree is ideal if you have a background in healthcare, sport rehabilitation, sports and / or exercise science, physical activity & health, strength & conditioning or other relevant biological / biomedical science.
