Then you’ll delve deeper into the area that interests you and carry out research with leading experts in the field.\n\n**Key benefits** \n\n\n- Join a diverse community – students join us from all over the globe and have a background in biomedical, psychology and more. \n\n\n- Complete three core modules then pick a specialised pathway \n\n\n- Study surrounded by the expertise and facilities of the Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences, MRC Social & Genetic Developmental Psychiatry Centre, Maurice Wohl Neuroscience Centre, and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre \n\n\n- Learn from experts in ADHD, genetics, personality disorders and more. \n\n\n- Prepare for careers in research and medical, clinical, or pharmaceutical environments, as well as careers in policy making.\n\n\n**Please note that the two year part-time programme runs on alternate years. The next intake will be September 2020.** \n\n**Teaching** \n\nYou’ll never have to rely on a textbook at King’s. All of our teaching team carry out their own research, so you’ll always be up to speed with the latest thinking in the field. \n\nOne day, you might be listening to someone who has recently given a TED talk on a ground-breaking topic. Another day, you might be listening to an academic who has just published a paper in a leading journal. \n\nWe focus on developing your practical skills too. For example, you’ll examine human brains from our Brain Bank, comparing healthy and unhealthy examples. ",
