"summary": "**This distance-learning Master’s in Occupational Hygiene covers all aspects of occupational hygiene, emphasising learning, research and essential critical thinking.**\n\nOccupational hygiene is concerned with the identification, evaluation and management of chemical, physical and biological agents arising from work. There's currently a huge demand from large multinational companies for trained occupational hygienists.\n\nOur master's course covers all aspects of occupational hygiene, and you will complete a dissertation based on an occupational hygiene topic. You'll be able to apply for funding from the British Occupational Hygiene Society to cover any research costs involved.\n\nOccupational hygienists are employed in a wide range of industries, including the petrochemical industry, manufacturing, mining, aero-industry, service sectors and the health sector. Many hygienists are also actively involved in research in a range of related fields.\n\nThis course is accredited by two professional bodies: the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) as well as the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).\n\n**What you should know about this course**\n- You’ll develop the essential critical thinking skills for professionals in the field.\n\n\n- To gain an MSc, you will complete a dissertation on an occupational hygiene topic. A Postgraduate Diploma is available if you do not wish to pursue the dissertation.\n\n\n- You study by distance learning.
