"summary": "**In December 2024, the University of Bolton was granted permission by the Office for Students (OfS) to change its name to the University of Greater Manchester with immediate effect. While we work to update our systems, you may see both names used in the information we provide.**\n\nAre you fascinated by the psychological theories and models around wellbeing and mental health? Our MSc Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health supports you in developing a critical understanding of mental health difficulties, psychological therapies and the interventions applied in mental health contexts. You’ll gain core counselling skills through simulation-assisted practice and enjoy a mix of traditional lectures, interactive workshops, seminars and skill-building sessions.\n\nThe University of Greater Manchester’s MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health is designed to equip you with an advanced understanding of psychological theories and models relevant to improving and maintaining psychological wellbeing and mental health. You'll develop a critical understanding of the manifestations of mental health difficulties, psychological therapies, and interventions applied in mental health contexts and gain core counselling skills through simulation-assisted practice. \n\nOur enthusiastic team of experienced lecturers will deliver traditional lectures, interactive workshops, seminars, and skill-building sessions in a friendly and supportive environment. We'll guide you in building knowledge of theoretical models, practice frameworks, psychotherapeutic interventions in mental health settings, reflective practice, and psychological wellbeing.
