    "summary": "The Masters in Mechatronics is a fusion of mechanical, electrical, electronic and control engineering. Modern industry depends for its success in global markets on its ability to integrate these subjects into both the manufacturing process and innovative products and systems.\n\n**WHY THIS PROGRAMME**\n\n\n- The University of Glasgow has been delivering world-class engineering education and research since 1840. Mechanical Engineering is a core engineering discipline that has a long history in the University dating back to the 1760s with academic contributors such as James Watt.\n\n\n- Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Glasgow is ranked 1st in Scotland (Complete University Guide 2025).\n\n\n- Mechanical Engineering at Glasgow is ranked in the top 15 in the UK (Complete University Guide 2023).\n\n\n- The School of Engineering has extensive contacts with industrial partners who contribute to several of their taught courses through active teaching, curriculum development and panel discussion.
