The Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) is designed as an option for postgraduate students who cannot meet the academic entry requirements for the MA. You are provided with the full range of MA tuition. If you meet the learning outcomes of the MA you will gain that award. The Academy’s postgraduate conducting course is internationally recognised as one of the foremost programmes for training conductors. Our students have many opportunities to work with talented players and singers in a variety of settings, from two-piano workshops and intimate chamber ensembles to full symphony orchestra. Academy conductors work in a friendly, collaborative and focused environment which prepares them for professional conducting careers.",

This is the equivalent of the first-round live performance given by a performance candidate to a panel at the Academy. You will be informed around the middle of January whether you have been selected for the second round live assessment in London, this will take place over two days in February and includes conducting an ensemble, conducting two pianos, aural tests and interviews.",
