"assessmentMethods": "Assessment\nPhase Studies (primary or secondary education) 30-credits\n\nAssessment will comprise of a summative 4000-word Master’s level assignment.\n\nProfessional Enquiry 30-credits\n\nAssessment will comprise of a summative 4000-word Master’s level assignment.\n\nProfessional Practice 30-credits\n\nThere are two components for the assessment of this module, both of which must be passed for the module to be completed.\n\nReflections which detail your progress towards the iQTS Teachers’ Standards which are evidenced in the Professional Digital Portfolio (PDP) – equivalent to 3000 words (pass/fail)\nAll practical teaching in the classroom must also be assessed against all the iQTS Teachers’ Standards (pass/fail)",
"entryRequirements": "**Minimum requirements**\n\nYou must hold an approved Bachelor’s degree with Honours at 2:2 or above, (or) equivalent level.\n\nPrimary trainees: At least Grade C or 4 in GCSE Maths or equivalent.\n\nYour spoken and written English must be of an adequate standard for postgraduate study. If English is not your first language, you will need a minimum score of 6.5 or equivalent under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no less than 6.0 in any element. "summary": "This one-year postgraduate course is specifically designed to prepare you for teaching in international settings. It will equip you to be a reflective, competent and professionally aware educator through a unique blended learning programme that includes:\n\n\n- An intensive four day virtual induction led by Associate Professors from Warwick.\n\n\n- A minimum of 20 ‘Live’ online sessions in Subject Studies, Professional Enquiry and Professional Practice modules throughout the year. These will take place at 11am (GMT) and are 2.5 hours in length.\n\n\n- Completion of a Professional Digital Portfolio (PDP), two 1000-word reflective pieces at Master's level, a Master’s level graded Viva Voce and final assessment guided by the International Teachers’ Standards.\n\n\n- The completion of two Master’s level assignments, one based on a phase-related issue and one on a comparative international theme.\n\n\n- Teaching practice with assessment points and a summative lesson observation from a Warwick tutor (either online or in person).\n\n\n- Four personal tutorials led by your tutor at Warwick, four tripartites involving yourself, your university tutor and your school mentor and on-going mentor support provided by schools throughout the year.\n\n\nThe University of Warwick is consistently ranked as one of the top ten in the United Kingdom. The Centre for Teacher Education is the University’s global-service provider for high quality training and professional education. It has been awarded “Outstanding” provider status by the British government standard (OFSTED). Our iQTS International programme was one of five inspected as part of the DfE iQTS pilot inspections and has been awarded grade 1.\n\n**Qualified Teacher Status in England and Wales**\nQualified Teacher Status in England and Wales is conferred by the Teaching Agency on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education (England) and the Minister for Education and Skills (Wales) and not by universities.
