"summary": "This master's course provides you with an in-depth understanding of the key factors that govern the design and selection of materials for use in advanced engineering applications, as well as their processing, properties and stability.\n\nFocusing on composites, advanced alloys and engineering ceramics, you will explore the technologies used in the manufacturing and processing of advanced materials and develop an understanding of the relationships between composition, microstructure, processing and performance.\n\nYou will learn how to assess materials performance inservice and develop an understanding of the processes of degradation in hostile conditions.
