We offer a supportive environment in which to learn and experiment with this extremely broad art form. We encourage our students to find their own creative voice and equip them with the skills needed to enable them to pursue a future as working jazz musicians. The Academy jazz course benefits from small numbers, enabling students to receive a personalised education and close support throughout their studies.\nThe deadline for your UCAS Conservatoires application is **2 October 2025**.\nAll Jazz candidates are initially assessed by video recording as Round One of the audition process; the deadline for your video upload is **2 October 2025, 18:00 UK time**.\n\nPostgraduate students are a vital part of the Academy’s musical culture, working in a uniquely collaborative performance environment ideally suited to helping talented musicians — from across the globe — to achieve their musical ambitions.\n\nThe Master of Arts in Performance is the standard postgraduate programme for students who want to focus on performance and build on their professional skills. The MA is designed to allow maximum flexibility for you to concentrate upon the range of activities offered, to develop your own performance initiatives and to form a bridge to a performance career. This two year programme is the usual length for the MA though some candidates may be allowed to take the MA in one year; the length of programme can be discussed at your audition and adjusted later, you are not tied to the programme length you select in your application.",
