"assessmentMethods": "Assessment is a combination of coursework, practice/competency based learning and examination including case-studies, presentations, objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) and practical scenarios.\n\nThe nature of the assessment varies from module to module, and mirrors the modes of communication expected of graduates in this field report writing, critique, case presentation and oral presentation of clinical findings. Assessment is based upon work- based situations through case studies to facilitate reflection and testing skills of critical analysis.",
"entryRequirements": "Entry requirements for this course are normally:\n\n* An Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant human or health related subject\n* Provide a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and health clearances. We will request an Overseas Police Check if you have lived in a country outside of the UK for 6 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the last 10 years before applying to us and whilst aged 18 or over\n* A conditional offer will be made upon completion of an APEL portfolio\n* GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above, or grade C or above if awarded under the previous GCSE grading scheme, or equivalent Ofqual regulated qualification\n* Relevant prior experience in a health environment\n* Potential to study at master’s level\n* Evidence of recent study (within 5 years)\n\n*Applicants whose undergraduate degree is not in a health- or-human-related subject may still be considered, provided they can evidence relevant professional healthcare experience. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.\n\nOffers will be subject to an interview. Please note all the information provided in support of your application may be checked and must be verifiable as a true record.\n\nPlacement providers for this course may require you to have received a number of vaccinations, unless medically exempt, and provide evidence of these. "summary": "This exciting course provides an opportunity for those who have already undertaken a health related degree to undertake paramedic education. Paramedics are an integral and ever evolving part of the NHS workforce and work as autonomous practitioners, able to conduct complex examinations and undertake diagnostic management procedures. Paramedics work in a multitude of environments, providing urgent and emergency care to patients across the lifespan.\n\n\n* This two-year programme is the first of its kind in the North of England and was developed in conjunction with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. \n\n\n* It provides strong post course employability as a Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP).\n\n\n* The course provides a wealth of practice placement opportunities in both the ambulance service and other healthcare settings.\n\n\n* This pre-registration course enables you to commence study at Masters level, the first of its kind within the North of England to offer this paramedic course\n\n\nMaster’s level students are expected to engage with more complex concepts, beyond that of a Bachelor degree and learners are required to be complete practitioners, capable of leading change and improving service quality.",
