"entryRequirements": "Degree requirements\nApplicants must have a primary qualification in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent). Two years full time post qualification clinical practice of dentistry including evidence of specific relevant experience in prosthodontic care is also required.\n\nAdditional information\nPlease note that if English is not your first language then in order for your application to be considered you must have obtained a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 or recognised equivalent qualification at the point of submission of your application.\n\nFollowing the application deadline, screening of applications and selection of candidates will take place. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to attend a Skype interview with the Programme Lead.",

The Professional Doctorate Programme in Periodontics provides an integrated 3 years training for dentists who aspire to be specialists, either in primary or secondary services, or clinical academics of the future.\n\n\n- World-class teaching facilities available to carry out state-of-the-art biomedical research\n\n\n- Cover all the topics in the GDC (UK) Specialist Curriculum\n\n\n- Be taught by expert clinicians and academics, recognised for excellence\n\n\n- Recognised as official UK training for registered home students wishing to become specialists and for the Membership in Prosthodontics of The Royal College of Surgeons\n\n\n- Study at one of the UK’s top-rated dental schools: we’re joint first for research impact (REF 2014)\n\n\nThis DClinDent degree integrates academic activities with clinical practice and research. Covering all the topics in the GDC (UK) Specialist Curriculum, it aims to familiarise you with up-to-date, novel and evidence-based clinical practices in prosthodontics.\n\nWe incorporate vocational elements to the programme so that you get a comprehensive education. During the programme, you will get hands-on training in fixed and removable prosthodontics and implant dentistry. You will also conduct supervised clinics and laboratory practice, in which treatment planning and clinical procedures are performed for selected cases, including a number of complex treatments.\n\nYou will receive professional doctorate-level research training, completing reports, evaluations and your final dissertation.\n\nIn addition, you will have the opportunity to interact with external specialists, through an extensive seminar series held within the Institute of Dentistry and the Blizard Institute.\n\nThe DClinDent Degree meets level 8 of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ).\n\n**Structure**\n- Three compulsory research modules, including your final dissertation (up to 50,000 words)\n\n\n- Three compulsory knowledge and clinical skills modules\n",
