"assessmentMethods": "Assessment for the course varies depending on the module, but always consist of at least two forms of assessment. The different assessment strategies include objective structured clinical examinations (OSCE), Viva (oral examination), oral presentations, written examinations and portfolios, and clinical case studies.\n\nThese assessments will enable the modules to support and build up the students’ practical, clinical, communication and written skills that they will need both for the clinical placement module and for a successful lifelong learning.",
"entryRequirements": "An upper second class degree (or equivalent) in a related field is required.\n\nRelated degrees include medical, sport, and biomedical science, and science degrees such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physiology. Other degrees will be considered on an individual basis.\n\nFive GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language or literature, maths and a science subject.\n\nIn addition to the above, candidates are required to have practical experience relating to physiotherapy, such as shadowing, work placement or healthcare work experience.\n\nAll shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a panel consisting of a clinical Physiotherapist and an academic member of staff, who will take it in turn to ask questions.\n\nAs part of the registration process, you are required to undertake a criminal record check through the Disclosure & Barring Service. This is to ensure that you have not been barred from working with children and vulnerable adults and do not have criminal records that make you unsuitable for working with young people. This will be requested following a successful interview.",

"summary": "This physiotherapy degree seeks to educate students in the management and care of individuals with a range of prolonged conditions or musculoskeletal injury.\n\n**Why study Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration)?**\n\nOur Master's degree in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to manage patients suffering from a range of conditions or musculoskeletal injuries, from the acute stage through to return to sport or activity. This includes working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the care of different patients.\n\nThere is currently a high demand for provision of physiotherapists across all areas of knowledge working in different settings. This demand is from the NHS both in primary care settings and community-based provision, local authority projects, sports, and private practice. \n\nThe MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) degree is a two-year taught programme with the addition of 1,000 placement hours that must be completed during the two years. The first year of the programme will contain the taught elements of the course with the placement starting in the second year.",
