"entryRequirements": "The programme will recruit graduates from across a range of disciplines eg biological sciences, physics, health sciences, sports based disciplines who have obtained a 2:1 classification in their degree. We will also consider those with a 2:2 classification in their degree who are able to provide wider contextual information of recent relevant experience or further study.\n\nNon-health related degrees and professional qualifications may be accepted but each application will be considered on its own merits.\n\nApplicants must also hold 5 GCSE grades 5-9 (or grades A*-C if assigned according to previous grading system), which include maths English language and a science (dual award is accepted).\n\nApplicants must present with a good understanding of the profession including an awareness of the various settings a physiotherapist might work in.\n\nApplicants should include a personal statement in support of their application to the programme. Personal statements should be no longer than 700 words in length and should reflect your understanding of the profession and relevant qualities valuable to a healthcare professional. Applicants must show evidence of a good understanding of the scope of physiotherapy practice. This will preferably be indicated by observation experience of physiotherapists working in a variety of clinical areas, or by other experience which can be related to the skills and qualities required of working in a physiotherapy environment. Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity working with the general public, children, older persons or people with special needs will also help to strengthen an application.\n\nFurthermore, applicants will be expected to demonstrate alignment to the NHS Core Values as outlined in the NHS constitution.\n\nThe selection procedure requires completion of a successful interview with an academic/clinical panel. The interview utilises the values-based recruitment (VBR) process and applicants will be expected to demonstrate the relevance of the NHS values and pertinent skills required to work as a physiotherapist.\n\nMeeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee a place on the programme as competition is high. Candidates are encouraged to present with the strongest possible application.",

"suggest": "Physiotherapy (Pre-registration). University of Liverpool. Physiotherapy",
"summary": "This two year accelerated MSc Physiotherapy programme will provide you with an excellent educational experience both in the academic and clinical environments. It will support your development as a graduates with the ability and desire to make a meaningful contribution within the communities in which you live and work. More specifically it promotes your development as a physiotherapist who is a critical thinker, resilient, resourceful and capable of providing outstanding patient care in the current and future healthcare system.\n\nThe programme has been divided into three key themes, clinical, professional and evidence based practice which thread through the programme and have been connected horizontally and vertically to facilitate effective knowledge and skill integration. The themes transition across the two years, ensuring that learning is applied and developed continuously to facilitate growth at each level of study. Within the themes individual modules have been developed in parallel to ensure that you benefit from a planned and coherent learning experience with an appropriate spread of workload across each year. Practice based learning is an essential part of this programme as it will allow you to experience a wide range of clinical settings and integrate theory and practice developing clinical skills, professionalism and leadership.\n\nProgramme learning, and teaching methods are aligned to the University of Liverpool hallmarks of research-connected teaching and active learning. Every module incorporates activities and opportunities to stimulate, facilitate and progressively guide the learning process. A strong focus on case-based learning and enquiry-based learning (EBL). EBL encourages you to access and engage with content logically and meaningfully. EBL has been shown to enhance students' learning experience and support development of graduates who have the skills to engage in self‐directed, reflective learning and critical thinking. To assist with learning there are a wide range of electronic resources available which you can access on campus and also remotely. Authentic assessment tasks have been included across the curriculum. Assessment tasks demand that you demonstrate a meaningful and integrated application of relevant academic knowledge, skills and understanding. Many of these assessment tasks mirror the skills which you can expect to undertake as a registered physiotherapist.\n\nSuccessful graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and to apply to become a professional member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.",
