Gaining this award does not allow students to apply for HCPC or CSP registration.\n \nPostgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation: To be eligible for the award in Postgraduate Certificate in Rehabilitation students must successfully complete 120 credits at Level 7. Gaining this award does not allow students to apply for HCPC or CSP registration.\n\n**Module information is quoted for 2021/22 entry. Please note that modules run subject to student numbers and staff availability, any changes will be communicated to applicants accordingly.",

"entryRequirements": "• BSc degree in a relevant sport or health related subject at first or second class degree classification.\n• Knowledge and awareness of the scope of physiotherapy practice and motivation to complete all requirements of the course.\n• If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language capability. The level required for study on MSc Physiotherapy is IELTS 7.0 (or its equivalent) with no lower than 6.5 in each individual band (reading, writing, speaking and listening).\n\nAll offers of a place on the programme are subject to:\n• successful Occupational Health Screening and\n• satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) report\n• successful interview by the University.",

"summary": "On successful completion of the MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) programme, you will be eligible to apply for registration with both the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. The academic team are specialists within their field and have strong links with practice. Teaching and learning is enhanced through sessions with specialist practicing clinicians and with the involvement of the service user and carer group.\n\nStudying Physiotherapy at the University of Northampton will equip you with the knowledge, skills and attributes to be a competent Physiotherapist. Studying at MSc level will develop your critical thinking capabilities and application of evidence-based research that underpins Physiotherapy practice. You will benefit from a unique teaching approach of active blended learning which fosters a community of enquiry, collaboration and development of practical problem-solving skills with an emphasis on patient-centred care.\n\nThe University is an AshokaU Changemaker campus, with a strong vision for social innovation. Therefore, the Physiotherapy programme will be aligned to the Changemaker values, providing multiple opportunities to engage with local communities and will enable you to develop your employability skills through the employability framework.\n\nThe structure of the programme ensures that all theory and practice is underpinned by a high-quality evidence-based approach. All material is contemporary for current service needs, as well as allowing the growth of innovation and leadership skills.\n\nThere is a variety of assessment strategies utilised throughout the programme to ensure relevance to professional requirements upon entry to the profession, to develop critical thinking skills and the application of theory into current Physiotherapy practice and to aid equality. Assessment methods may include practical exams, presentations, essays, reflections, producing digital medium and critical reports.
