"assessmentMethods": "Your understanding of each module is assessed through a variety of written/ illustrated reports and design drawing portfolios, submitted at the end of each module.\n\nThere are no exams. Your submitted coursework is completed against detailed project briefs, with submissions comprising project work developed in a variety of media, drawn conceptual, practical and 3D work, essays, site research studies, illustrated reports, seminar papers and presentations.\n\nTeaching supports the development of materials for submission through seminars, individual and group tutorials, field visits and lectures. All coursework is double-marked and reviewed by an external examination board. \n\nAll modules are worth 30 credits, except the final Thesis module, which is worth 60 credits. Design Studio modules are assessed 100 per cent portfolio, made up of 20 per cent group work and 80% individual work. Theory modules are assessed 100 per cent report/essay.\n\nYour final Thesis module is 100 per cent thesis – this is 10,000 words or 6,000 words with the equivalent in drawings/modelmaking.",

"summary": "This is a design-based career conversion/ development course at the Master’s level. It’s for anyone who has a passion for landscape architecture, but a first degree in any other subject. \n\nIt brings together 'conversion' modules of the postgraduate diploma, with modules from the MA taken by those holding an undergraduate landscape degree, combined into a 'straight through' programme for direct entry to the UK profession at Licentiate status. \n\nIt is fully accredited by the Landscape Institute.\n\nThis course covers:\n\ndesign modules, where you lead the landscape design process, using a range of drawing and modelling techniques and software taught in the studio; and\ntheory/ professional practice, where we explore the issues affecting our environment, visit, study, and discuss professional landscape architecture.\nThis is a two-year programme (full-time) and the fee varies each year. You may also consider applying for the postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture.",
