        "modules": "Research students normally have two internal supervisors with specialist knowledge of their subject areas, and have regular meetings with them for advice, monitoring and other support. Students are introduced to relevant research methods through taught units and are encouraged to give presentations to postgraduate seminars, which are held regularly throughout the year.\n\nDue to the nature of postgraduate research programmes, the vast majority of your time will be spent in independent study and research. You will have meetings with your academic supervisors, however the regularity of these will vary depending on your own individual requirements, subject area, staff availability and the stage of your programme.\n\nResearch areas in the School can include cultural, social and spatial characteristics of the built environment and communities; history and theory of architecture; urban design; environmental design; construction science and management; and sustainable built environments.\n\nA structured programme of research skills training is designed to enable you to develop the competencies you require for your research and potential careers in research. Assessment normally takes place in the form of the submission of a final written research thesis.\n\nAn experienced supervisory team is appointed to offer expertise, support and guidance on your research and can support you in applying for funding, attending conferences and publishing your work. There may be opportunities to contribute to teaching in the School, following appropriate training.",

        "modules": "Research students normally have two internal supervisors with specialist knowledge of their subject areas, and have regular meetings with them for advice, monitoring and other support. Students are introduced to relevant research methods through taught units and are encouraged to give presentations to postgraduate seminars, which are held regularly throughout the year.\n\nDue to the nature of postgraduate research programmes, the vast majority of your time will be spent in independent study and research. You will have meetings with your academic supervisors, however the regularity of these will vary depending on your own individual requirements, subject area, staff availability and the stage of your programme.\n\nResearch areas in the School can include cultural, social and spatial characteristics of the built environment and communities; history and theory of architecture; urban design; environmental design; construction science and management; and sustainable built environments.\n\nA structured programme of research skills training is designed to enable you to develop the competencies you require for your research and potential careers in research. Assessment normally takes place in the form of the submission of a final written research thesis.\n\nAn experienced supervisory team is appointed to offer expertise, support and guidance on your research and can support you in applying for funding, attending conferences and publishing your work.
