While we work to update our systems, you may see both names used in the information we provide.**\n\nThe MRes Environmental Management degree is a multidisciplinary research training programme with a specialised focus on educational leadership and change. Combining rigorous training in advanced research skills with personalised research projects that build deep subject knowledge in Environmental Management, this exciting postgraduate programme is designed to inspire your imagination, foster your creativity and support you in becoming an exemplary leader.\n\nThis University of Greater Manchester's Masters by Research (MRes) in Environmental Management is a multidisciplinary research training programme designed to be truly novel and sui generis. It is designed to inspire the imagination and foster creativity while providing rigorous training in advanced research skills and deep subject knowledge.\n\nThe programme is delivered through a staged and flexible approach, enabling you to develop research skills in preparation for a PhD or Professional Doctorate. You will have opportunities to undertake applied research projects involving knowledge exchange.\n\nThe programme is delivered through a staged and flexible approach enabling you to develop research skills as preparation for a PhD or Professional Doctorate. Opportunities will be available for students to undertake applied research projects involving knowledge exchange.\n\nThe MRes programme will provide a common foundation for PhD or Professional Doctorate programmes with an interim award available following the gaining of 60 credits (PgCert), and an exit award of the 180 credit MRes.\n\nThe MRes in Environmental Management explores sustainable development frameworks guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, cutting-edge approaches to environmental risk assessment, and the use of innovative technologies for environmental monitoring and management. Taught by experienced university researchers and industry professionals, the course combines taught modules with hands-on research that addresses real-world environmental challenges. Through their individual dissertation projects, students investigate advanced practices in areas such as sustainable land use, climate resilience, environmental policy, and ecological restoration, preparing them for impactful careers in environmental consultancy, sustainability leadership, regulatory compliance, or further academic research.",
