"summary": "Construction managers hold responsibility. They ensure a project meets the client’s needs, monitor costs, supervise workers, ensure safety and maintain quality. We designed our Construction Project Management (with Foundation Year) course to give you a broad range of skills so you can cope with a variety of situations on or off site.\n\nThe course starts with a foundation year to build your academic skills and prepare you for degree-level study. On successful completion, you’ll progress onto the Construction Project Management degree.\n\nGraduates and employers say the placement year is highlight. We’ve built strong partnerships in industry and work to prepare you to make the most of your experience. Some students find they get offered a job before they graduate.\n\nYears 1 to 3 are joint with our other construction courses. You can learn about other roles in the industry and switch courses until final year if you find another suits you better. The courses are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building so you can join as a student member.",
