From year two, you can choose to study topics across the biosciences or focus on key specialisms aligned to your career goals.\n\nIn your third year, you will have the opportunity to undertake a substantial piece of research on a topic that excites and challenges you. Your research project is an excellent opportunity for you to draw together skills in experimental study design, critical interpretation of data, presentation and project management. You will also present your findings as part of a realistic research conference experience.\n\nDuring the final year of the MSci, an extended research project provides an immersive period of professional practice within a research-led environment.
