"modules": "This online BA(Hons) Combined Arts degree is structured around a broad learning experience, drawing on diverse academic and creative fields, meaning that you will graduate with discipline-specific skills for the creative industries, but also with an ability to grapple with complex challenges through a transdisciplinary lens – an approach that goes beyond merging disciplines to create new ones.\n\nThis course uses a problem-based learning (PBL) approach. Supported by your tutors, you’ll be given challenges alongside the resources and tools to solve or meet them. You decide your own learning boundaries and are supported by your tutors to shape an exciting, and effective learning experience. \n\nYear One\nThe first year of Combined Arts: Creativity degree focuses on development of core skills that you’ll need as you progress through the degree.\n\nYou will be introduced to problem-based learning, how it works and the benefits to you as a learner, and you will build your confidence in managing your own self-directed study under the guidance of your tutors. \n\nThis first year covers themes such as study skills, research methods, sustainability, communication and organisation, and is the solid foundation on which you’ll develop and refine those skills and with that, your own creative practice. \n\nModules:\nVisualise and Innovate: Creative Problem-Solving\nThe Art of Problem-Based Learning\nTransformations: Imagining Community Spaces\nPlaces and Spaces: Community, Identity and Change\nCreativity Unbound: Perspectives and Voices on Nature and Place\nThe Creative Cultural Sphere\n\n\nYear Two\nThe second year of BA(Hons) Combined Arts: Creativity builds on your journey and learnings, and continues the focus on developing a first-rate personal creative skillset. \n\nThe year ahead covers advanced creative practice, analytical skills and collaborative working, as well as more advanced themes of inclusivity and wellbeing in creative practice to give you a resilient future in the creative industries.
