From there, you will progress to a more in-depth and critical exploration of key issues, using spatial data to analyse and address complex environmental and socio-economic challenges. You will apply your learning through a residential field course and by completing an environmental and sustainability impact assessment on Keele campus.\n\nBy your third year, you will have greater flexibility to specialise in areas that interest you, alongside undertaking an independent research project and a consultancy project, where you will develop strategies for sustainable solutions within a chosen sector. The fourth year of the MSci is designed to enhance your employability while deepening your subject-specific knowledge through the development of advanced problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. You will also further develop your research abilities, particularly in critically evaluating scientific literature and in designing and carrying out an independent research project.
