"summary": "Our Finance and Accounting MSc will help you develop an in-depth knowledge of financial theory and practice, research methods, financial markets, financial accounting and management accounting.\n\nDuring times of crisis, accountancy is seen as a stable profession. As businesses deal with ongoing economic challenges, accountants play a vital role in helping them manage their finances, plan for the future and stay on track. This means there’s strong demand for skills in areas like forecasting, tax, cost control and insolvency.\n\nThis course has been designed to help you develop the skills necessary to advise on financial accounting standards, solve complex business problems and address the latest issues in financial theory and practice.\n\nThe industry placement or research year is a great way to gain valuable professional or academic experience and provides an opportunity for international students to study in the UK for two years instead of one. We offer a two-year international study visa route to support applications for this course.\n\nThis course is part of our Finance MSc programme.
